This Privacy Policy explains how Beauty’s Legacy (“we,” “us,” and “our”) collects and processes personal information (“Data”)

Beauty’s Legacy is the “Data Controller”, ICO registration no. ZA855555.

We currently collect and process the following information:

• IP addresses

• Name, address, email address, and telephone number

• Basic DBS data


How we get your personal information and why we collect it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • Volunteer role application
  • Volunteer Role agreement
  • To carry out services
  • Animal surrender or adoption agreement
  • Contact us eform
  • When you make a donation
  • 'On behalf of’ fundraising


We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:

  • When you donate via an online platform
  • Cookies set by our website


We use the information that you have given us in order to:

  • Consider your volunteer role application
  • Provide a volunteer agreement
  • Maintain internal records
  • Provide campaign material you have requested


We may share this information with Police or Government departments where required by law.


Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

How we store your personal information

Your information is stored on encrypted drives and cloud servers. Paper documents are stored in a secure filing system.

We keep personal information only for as long as is necessary. We will then dispose of this information by cross-cut shredding paper documents; data deletion on all systems and servers. Deletion is in full and absolute.
